Brake SafeA visual indicator of brake stroke travel

Eliminate your exposure

Out-of-adjustment air brakes are the #1 infraction found during D.O.T. inspections, and the #1 reason cited for out-of-service orders. The Brake Safe eliminates this exposure.
Shown here with the Arrow Logger.

Brake Safe will also diagnose:

  • Non-activating brake chamber
  • Chamber that has failed to release
  • Weak or broken parking brake spring
  • Defective or incorrectly set up slack adjuster
Between the yellow Goalpost
Beyond the yellow Goalpost

Simple Operation

The Goalpost is attached to a bracket that mounts permanently onto any power unit, truck, trailer or bus's air brake chamber with yellow and red plastic covers to enhance visibility.

Apply a full service brake application at 90-100 psi and the clevis pin moves between or
beyond the Goalpost. The position of the red clevis pin indicates brake adjustment.

Arrow Logger   UPGRADE

Makes Brake Safe's monitoring brake adjustment status available to drivers anytime, anywhere. The Arrow Pointer indicates the furthest point of brake stroke travel and whether the brakes are in or out of adjustment.

Apply the service brake at 90-100psi, release brake, then activate the parking brake and check the position of the Arrow Pointer.
Check the position of the Arrow Pointer without applying the service brake.
